In the run up to the COP26 summit in Glasgow, Japan NRG hosted several webinars to look at the technologies and policies that could make a difference. Here are details of the first event, a video recording of which is available below.
Carbon Dioxide Removal : Progress and Potential
Date: Oct. 21 (Thursday)
Time: 10:00 – 11:00 JST
Speakers: Senior members of AirMiners and Carbon180
Summary: What are the approaches used to extract CO2
from the atmosphere in North America today?
How can this create business opportunities in Japan?
We mine resources to make energy. Why not mine the air for energy byproduct that can cause harm? That’s the basic premise of AirMiners, a California-based organization that will make a special presentation for Japan NRG next week to discuss how, in their words, “climate crisis is an opportunity to create a better future.”
Japan NRG will host a 60-minute webinar with AirMiners senior members, Jason Grillo and Tito Jankowski, who will discuss carbon removal activities in North America and how companies in Asia Pacific could leverage those approaches to do good for the climate and create business opportunities.
Jason and Tito will be joined on the panel by Erin Burns, the Executive Director of Carbon180, an organization focused on U.S. carbon removal policies.
About AirMiners:
